Manchester City Hit with Unwelcome Blow Ahead of League Opener as Winger Sidelined
Belgian footballer Jeremy Doku will miss Manchester City's Premier League opener against Bournemouth on Sunday due to a calf injury. "Citizens" coach Enzo Maresca confirmed on Friday that the winger will be out for two to three weeks.

The Belgian international experienced discomfort during the first half of last week's 3-0 Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. Doku could be sidelined for up to three weeks. However, Maresca otherwise has a full squad available for the match against Bournemouth.

“Currently, the only player out is Jeremy Doku. Unfortunately, in the last match, he complained of a slight calf pain at halftime. It was our intention for him to play 45 minutes anyway, so the substitution was planned. However, it now looks like two or three weeks, certainly no longer,” Maresca was quoted by DPA.
