Manchester United host Tottenham in Premier League Gameweek 6, with both sides desperate for a positive result following underwhelming starts to the campaign. The Red Devils have registered just one win from their opening five league fixtures and are winless in their last three. The situation is even more dire for Spurs, who sit rooted to the bottom of the table with just two points from two draws and only two goals scored.

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick makes two changes from the side that started against Fulham three weeks ago, with Marcus Rashford and Diogo Dalot making way for Amad Diallo and Leny Yoro. While the Frenchman is nominally a centre-back, he featured at right-back on several occasions during pre-season. Amad is expected to slot in on the right wing, with Bryan Mbeumo leading the line. In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans once again partner to pull the strings for the hosts, while new signing Carlos Baleba is named on the bench.

Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has made a sweeping six changes to the team that fell to defeat against Aston Villa. Three of the back four from that match miss out, leaving Jan Paul van Hecke as the sole survivor in defence. Marcos Senesi, Conor Gallagher, Destiny Udogie, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, and Mohammed Kudus all come into the starting XI, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Matheus Fernandes, and Omar Marmoush are among those dropping to the bench.
