Left-hander Manny Banuelos, once considered a bright prospect, has gone to the Atlanta Braves as part of the trade.

Carpenter, 29, was 6-4 for the Atlanta Braves last season with a 3.54 ERA.
Shreve, a lefty, made 15 appearances for the Braves in 2014.
Banuelos had been rated among one of the brightest prospects for the Yankees but the 23-year-old struggled to live up to expectations.
