Maccabi stun Valencia in EuroLeague thriller as hosts miss two late threes to force overtime

Just two days after a shocking loss to Olympiacos, in which the Spanish side squandered a 28-point lead, Xavi Albert's squad suffered yet another heartbreak.

This time, it was Maccabi who walked away from Valencia with the win following a wild and dramatic finish.

The hosts had two opportunities to level the score and force overtime, but missed attempts from Kam Taylor and Armoni Brooks allowed the Israeli side to escape with the victory.

Jimmy Clark led Maccabi with 17 points, Roman Sorkin added 16, while Oshae Brissett chipped in with 14. On the other side, Armoni Brooks paced Valencia with 14 points, with Nikola Mirotić and Gonzalo Corbalan contributing 12 each.

Valencia now drop to a 4-2 record and head on the road to face Paris in the next round. Meanwhile, Maccabi improve to 2-4 ahead of their clash against Real Madrid in seven days' time.
