Lyon Fails to Score Against Angers

Lyon and Angers played out a goalless draw in a Ligue 1 matchday 28 fixture. Five minutes after the break, Pavel Schulz missed the clearest opportunity for the visitors, who extended their winless streak to nine consecutive matches across all competitions.

This result kept "Les Gones" out of the top four in the standings, and Lille's victory over Lens yesterday further complicated the team's situation.

Later this evening, fourth-placed Marseille visits Monaco, and a win for the Monegasques would intensify the battle for a Champions League spot even further. Currently, only seven points separate third from eighth in the provisional table.
