The Galatasaray forward teamed up with rappers Mo-Torres and the band Cat Ballou, on a new record titled ‘Liebe deine Stadt’ (‘Love Your City’).

"It's unbelievable what has happened the last few days, I want to thank you for your support of the song 'Love your city'. I did not expect this success,” Podolski said.

In the video for the record, the 31-year-old is seen taking a walk through the city of Cologne, his hometown.

In the video, Podolski is representing his hometown where he started his football career with FC Köln, joining in 1995 when he was just 10.

He broke into the first team in 2003 and made 81 appearances for the club before moving to Bayern Munich.
