After a three-match ban on Chelsea’s first choice striker Diego Costa, Loic Remy says he is ready to fill the boot of the Spain international.

Costa was given a three-match retrospective ban after the FA found him guilty of violent conduct in Chelsea’s last weekend’s victory over .

Though Jose Mourinho has predicted that Chelsea will be affected by the loss of Costa, Remy thinks he can ease the manager’s frustration.

“We will miss him,” Remy who scored in Chelsea’s midweek Capital One Cup victory over Walsall said of Costa.

“He is so important to the team and winning games. It's a shame for us to have lost Costa for three games.”

Apart from his goal scoring threats, Costa is known and love at Chelsea for his physical qualities and Remy says he has to show his own also.

“I don't have a choice. I have to do it because when you play for Chelsea it's a question of giving the best, 100 per cent in every game. Of course, I will do the best I can.”
