Barcelona star says he can do it 'on a wet Wednesday night at the Britannia Stadium'
People who try to dismiss Lionel Messi's achievemnets in football often asks one question; 'can he do it on a wet Wednesday night at the Britannia Stadium?'.
This questions relates to the doubt that Mess can succeed in the Premier League compared to Cristiano Ronaldo who first made his name there with Manchester United before moving to La Liga.
The Barcelona star according to Sky pundit Guillem Balague says he can do it, comparing the conditions to conditions to those he faced in his home country of Argnentina.
"I asked Messi about that," Balague said in a discussion with Messi's former teammate and current Stoke City forward Bojan Krkic.
"He said 'those people that say that (that he would not play well) should realise I played in awful conditions in Rosario when I was 11 years old, with glass on the pitch, with holes and everything.' And he also played good."
Bojan who played with Messi at Barcelona also thinks Messi can do it on a wet Wednesday night at the Britannia Stadium.
"Of course," Bojan told .
"If he came to the Britannia he will also play good. Messi can do it.
"I understand that teams don't like to come to the Britannia Stadium, especially in winter with the wind, the cold and we're a strong team.
"It's not easy. But I try to enjoy it and I try to improve my football in that situation."
