Leclerc: I Had the Potential for Pole, but Max Did a Better Job

"My good lap came right at the very end, at just the right time, but I struggled quite a bit throughout qualifying," Leclerc explained. "The first two parts of the session were tricky. Strange things were happening with the brakes, with the car pulling slightly to one side under braking, which is far from ideal on a circuit like Singapore."

"Still, my lap in Q3 was solid. I made a few mistakes, and I think I had the potential for pole position, but Max did a better job today."
