LeBron James joined the Philadelphia 76ers with the expectation of playing power forward in the starting lineup, but it appears that might not be the case.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Sixers are expected to deploy LeBron "for a significant portion of time at the point guard position on offense." The report indicates he will orchestrate the team's attacks to support the other starters.
During the 2019-20 season, James played point guard and led the league in assists with 10.2 per game, ultimately playing a pivotal role in the Los Angeles Lakers' championship victory.
With Philadelphia's newfound prominence following major trades, the Sixers are anticipated to receive the maximum 34 nationally televised games across various streaming and television platforms next season.
