More than two weeks have passed since LeBron James' departure from the Los Angeles Lakers became official, yet the NBA legend's destination for his 24th season remains unknown.
This Thursday, the 41-year-old American made his first public appearance since confirming his farewell from the team he dedicated the last eight years to. He promised that his decision on his next challenge wouldn't take much longer.
“It’s going to be fun, wherever I end up,” he responded on the live podcast Mind the Game with Tyrese Haliburton. “It’s a big decision, not just for me, but for my family as well. It’s about the twilight of my career and where I want to spend the last few years, or the last year, or the last two years of my NBA career,” he explained.
LeBron James added, “I’m going to try to integrate myself into whatever team I go to, but I’m also going to give them all the tools and all the knowledge I’ve been able to acquire over the last 23 years. I know the game. I know the ins and outs of basketball,” he concluded, without elaborating further on the topic.
