The National Association of Nigeria Football (NANF) has ordered fresh elections nto key positions at the League Management Company (LMC) ahead of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

The Vice President of the South South zone of NANF, Larry Kubeinje in a statement said  the LMC was fraudulently established as a stop gap measure with clear terms of reference which they have since exhausted that mandate.

“The LMC itself is an infraction on the statutes of the Nigeria Football Federation," Kubeinje said in letter which was sent to Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung.

"It is a complete aberration. If this request is not granted within the stipulated time the NANF will have no option than to go back to the trenches.

“Mr. President you would do well to conduct proper elections into the premier league board within four weeks from the date of your receipt of this petition in line with the Nigeria premier league rules and the Nigeria Football Federation statutes.”

The NANF are also furious about the trends of NPFL clubs owing several months salaries to their player.

NANF also reference to the FC Taraba players who slept outside the Government House in Jalingo protst for their outstanding salaries.

Sanctions for clubs who do not pay salaries of their players will also been enforced according to the NANF.

Kubeinje proposed that clubs that cannot pay player’s salaries should be expelled from the league.
