As Sérgio Ferreira begins mapping out his game plan for the trip to the Estádio da Luz, where Alverca take on Benfica on November 2 (20:15) in Liga action, he already knows he will be without one key figure: Steven Baseya.

The 21-year-old French centre-back was sent off against Arouca two days ago and will serve a suspension. It is a major setback for the Ribatejo outfit, given that Baseya has established himself as an undisputed starter, making the starting eleven in eight of Alverca's 10 matches so far this season.
Yaya Bojang is the frontrunner to fill the void in central defence, while Julián Martínez and Mofe Jemide are also in the running, leaving Ferreira with a decision to make.
