Super Eagles defender signs another contract with Chelsea before rejoining Kasimpasa on loan

Omeruo who joined Chelsea in 2012 has spent four seasons away from the club on-loan.

The defender was expected to make a permanent exit from Chelsea this summer after a loan stint last season in Turkey with Alanyaspor.

Surprisingly, the Nigeria international has extended his Chelsea contract, signing a new three-year-deal which will keep him at the club till 2020.

After the new Chelsea deal, the 23-year-old has returned to Kasimpasa where he played during the 2015/2016 season on a loan deal.

“God is Faithful. Happy to have renewed my contract with Chelsea FC until 2020 and also good to be back to Kasimpasa for one year,” the defender wrote on Instagram.

Omeruo is yet to play a competitive game for Chelsea since he joined the club.
