The coach of Nigeria Football Professional League side Enugu Rangers, Kelechi Emeteole was attacked by an angry mob after his side fell at home to Giwa FC on match day four.
undefinedas they fell to a Shaibu Ibrahim 50th-minute strike at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The coach had to be whisked away from a mob of the angry fans by security.
Emeteole blamed luck for his side's defeat on Saturday, April 18 and promised that him and his boys will continue working hard to improve themselves.
“It was a very bad day for us. We didn’t deserve to lose the game. We hit the wood work three times, created more than half a dozen chances but could not get one into the opponents’ net,” he lamented.
“This is pure hard luck. We shall continue to work on the team till we start getting the needed results.”
