- Follow the EuroLeague clash between Crvena Zvezda and Paris live on Sportal
In the spotlight were Crvena Zvezda football captain Mirko Ivanić and vice-captain Aleksandar Katai, both of whom were unavailable to Albert Riera a day earlier in the Conference League, where the Serbian side suffered a dramatic 3-2 comeback defeat against Lugano.
Katai did not travel to Lugano after being disciplined by the Spanish tactician for misconduct, while Ivanić missed out due to a minor injury.
This is hardly the first or last time we have seen players from the football squad supporting the basketball team and vice versa, reflecting the great bond shared across the club's sporting sections.
Ivanić and Katai were not the only high-profile athletes in attendance for the clash between Zvezda and Paris. Water polo stars Strahinja and Viktor Rašović, as well as Sava Ranđelović—all devoted fans of the Red and Whites—were also spotted courtside.
Warrior Ojeleye ready to sacrifice for the team
"I'm not the tallest guy, so I think communicating well helps everyone around me know where they need to be. That is why I have to adapt to what the team wants to achieve. You know, I just try to fight for every ball alongside my teammates. I'm not out there on my own, there are four other guys there to help. Obviously, I'm undersized when I play at the five, so I know I have to anticipate and be in the right spots at the right time, using my speed. If I'm late, then it's a problem." — Semi Ojeleye
