Yobo has signed an ambassadorial deal with the League Management Company (LMC) who are the organisers of the NPFL.

The LMC organisers of the NPFL on Tuesday, June 21 announced that Yobo has signed a deal which will make him eligible to play for any interested club in the last 12 games of the season.

Ifeanyi Ubah FC were favourite to sign the formerEverton defender due to his friendship with the proprietor, Ifeanyi Ubah but Kano Pillars have won the race.

Chairman of the LMC, Shehu Dikko confirmed to that Yobo will be joining the four-times NPFL Champions.

"Yobo will play for Kano Pillars; he will be on the pitch as soon as possible,” Dikko told Pulse Sports on Tuesday, August 23 at the unveiling of the LMC partnership deal with Star beer, as the official beer of the NPFL which held at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos.

Yobo could make his debut for the club when they host Sunshine Stars of Akure at their Sani Abacha Stadium in matchday 34.

He has the record of the most caps for the Super Eagles and played at Marseille, StandardLiege, Everton, Fenerbache and Norwich during his career.
