Now, that's some lesson in taking one step at a time, and doing it really low key.

The American Idol alumna, 27, and Dana Isaiah, her 25-year-old model boyfriend eloped while on vacation this summer in Hawaii.

The couple had their big day on July 16th, confirming what the singer had felt in her heart few days after their very first meeting.

She tells People Magazine that:

“A couple days after we had actually met, I was like in my head ‘That’s going to be my husband! That’s my husband right there.”

After giving their loved ones the surprise news of their their wedding, the couple themselves got yet a surprise when the former American Idol Winner discovered she was pregnant in late August.

“It’s been really crazy because everything changes,” says Sparks.

“Once we got over the initial shock of it, now again just like it is with the marriage, to be able to share that this amazing thing is happening, it’s such a great thing. We did this together!”

"We're really proud to be married to each other and to be celebrating this," She tells People.
