There's a sigh of relief in the England camp. Jordan Henderson has undergone successful surgery for the severe wrist injury he sustained during the celebrations following their 3-2 victory over Mexico. The procedure took place at the Orthopedic Institute in Kansas City. The midfielder has already made his first comments post-surgery.

"Operation done, now looking forward to a big Saturday. Thanks to all the staff who looked after me. Especially the three surgeons who performed the operation," Henderson shared in a post on his Instagram profile.

According to "The Athletic," the player has already returned to the team's camp with his teammates in Kansas. The Brentford midfielder will not participate further in the tournament but will remain in the United States to support his teammates as they prepare for Saturday's quarter-final match against Norway in Miami.

Henderson has 90 caps for England. His last appearance was as a substitute in the group stage match against Panama. He hasn't played since. Nevertheless, Tuchel emphasizes Jordan's importance to the team, as he is one of England's key leaders.

England will face Norway for a spot in the final four of the 2026 World Cup. The match kicks off at midnight Bulgarian time on July 12th (Sunday), and like all 104 matches of the World Cup finals in North America, it will be broadcast live on bnt.sportal.bg.
