After losing to pivotal stars, Aston Villa have started rebuilding with the signing of Ghana international Jordan Ayew from Ligue 1 club Lorient.
A fee of around £8.5million was agreed between the two clubs as Jordan joins his brother -Andre (Swansea) in the English Premier League.
The 23-year-old forward put pen to paper on a five-year contract after completing his medical.
Jordan scored 12 goals and had six assists for Lorient last season and has been brought in to replace Fabian Delph who left Aston Villa for Manchester City.
"I'm really pleased to bring Jordan to the football club. He is a fantastic young player who is perfectly suited to the Premier League," coach Tim Sherwood said.
Aston Villa is also hoping to secure the services of another African player Emmanuel Adebayor.
Sherwood wants to bring in the Tottenhamn striker to replace Christian Benteke who has left for Liverpool.
