Argentine player, Jonas Gutierrez was the saviour for Newcastle as they survive relegation from the English Premier League with man of the match performance in their crucial end of season game against West Ham.
He was diagnosed of testicular cancer in 2013 and he had to underwent surgery in his native Argentina in October 2013.
He return to Newcastle in 2014 but was sent away on a loan move to Norwich City where he was limited to four appearances for the club following a calf injury.
He underwent chemotherapy in October 2014 and was almost forced out of the club in February.
Gutiérrez was however the saviour of the day as he created the opener and scored the goal in the 2-0 defeat of West Ham which sealed survival.
He laid in a fine cross for Sissoko who headed into the bottom corner to open scoring before scoring with a 25 yards strike which was deflected.
While celebrated, he gestured at the directors' box where the people who tried to force him out of the club were sitting.
