After two games in the first-round playoff series, the score between Denver and Minnesota is tied at 1-1.
In the second game, played early in the morning Serbian time, the Nuggets squandered a 19-point lead against the Timberwolves, with Nikola Jokić and Jamal Murray looking out of sorts in the final quarter.
You could follow the game's progress on Sportal's live blog.
Jokić finished the game with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists, but he shot just 8-for-20 from the field, missing six shots down the stretch in the fourth quarter.
Murray didn't provide much help either, as he was also out of rhythm during the crucial moments when Minnesota was erasing the Nuggets' largest lead of 19 points. He ended the night with 30 points on 11-for-25 shooting.
A scene that unfolded on the court immediately after the game best illustrates how angry Jokić was. The Sombor native didn't shake hands with any of his opponents or even acknowledge the fans, instead storming off the court and heading straight to the locker room.
There's no doubt Jokić will once again take responsibility for the loss. It's up to Denver to find a solution to prevent their best player from being exhausted in the most critical moments of the game, and to get other players involved when he is heavily guarded.
Game 3 of the series will be played in the night between Thursday and Friday, tipping off at 3:30 AM CET, with Minnesota hosting.
