Ogu has become of the most important players in Hapoel Be'er Sheva since joining in September 2014.

The future of the midfielder who was voted the ‘Best Foreign Player’ in the Israeli Premier League last season has been a major concern for fans of the club.

He has signed a new two-year   contract extension with the club to calm the nerves of the fans.

His new deal comes with an optional of a third year.

"Happy to continue representing Hapoel be'er sheva. Moved to Israel 2 seasons ago and it been great support and love,” the 27-year-old wrote on his social media.

Ogu played a major part in Hapoel Be'er Sheva’s league win last season, their first in their history.

The midfielder in an interview with Pulse TV said the league win was the .

“I wanted to achieve more, I wanted to win the cup; we had like two cup games, the second we lost in the semi-final,” Ogu said.

“Winning the league is very important for me, the first of my career,” he added.

The midfielder joined Hapoel Be’er Sheva in September 2014 from Portuguese side, Academica.
