Mikel and Siasia are not known to be in good terms with since the midfielder was dropped from team team to the 2008 Olympic Games over his failure to show up for a crucial qualifier.
According to African Football, Mikel has however put all differences aside to call Siasia informing him of his total support ahead of the crucial encounters against Egypt.
“Mikel called Siasia and pledged his full support,” the website's source is quoted to say.
Nigeria will play the Egypt in Nigeria at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday, March 25 with the return leg to be played in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 29.
Egypt are on top of the group with maximum six points after beating Tanzania at home and Chad away while Nigeria are second with four points after a win and a draw.
