Al Nassr are preparing to trigger a two-year contract extension for João Félix. According to Saudi newspaper Arriyadiyah, which closely follows the Riyadh-based club, the terms agreed upon in the summer of 2025 grant the hierarchy unilateral power to extend the Portugal international's deal without interference from third parties. To activate the clause, Al Nassr must exercise their option before May 2027.
When Félix joined Al Nassr, he signed a deal running until 2027, with the club retaining the option to extend his stay for a further two seasons—an option they are now eager to activate, alongside updated terms.
According to the same source, the 26-year-old forward is set to see his annual salary rise from €10 million to €12.5 million. In addition, the club's board plans to offer additional bonuses and incentives to secure his long-term commitment.
European ambition
Al Nassr's plans, however, contrast with Félix's recent comments in an interview with Spanish outlet AS. "I've been thinking about returning to Europe, though maybe not right away. I don't know if it will be at the end of this season or the next, but I do want to go back," the player stated.
Since arriving at Al Nassr, the Portuguese forward has made 59 appearances across all competitions, registering 31 goals and 24 assists. He was also named player of the season in the Saudi Pro League, which he won last term.
