After seeing off world number one Lee Chong Wei in three games on Saturday, fourth seed Tago may have been seen as the favourite to win the showpiece in Jakarta.

But the two players were evenly matched, with third seed Jorgensen proving to have the stronger nerve in the first game, winning the final three points to take command of the contest.

The second game was just as close but it was Jorgensen who was always in control, and he had no problem in closing out the match to secure the trophy.

Meanwhile, in the women's singles final world number one Li Xuerui swept to a confident victory over Ratchanok Intanon.

Li needed only 37 minutes to add another title to her list, sealing the win 21-13 21-13.

Intanon had fought past world number two Wang Shixian in three sets in her semi-final, but she proved no match for her Chinese opponent as the Thai's hopes of a surprise victory came to an end.
