Covenant University Student Expelled For Wearing Female Clothes, Owning Make-Up
A male 200-level student of the Department of Mass Communication at Covenant University has been expelled for cross dressing.
Student Pulse gathered that the student had attended lectures wearing waist trimmers, originally worn by ladies to give them a slim-fit look.
The student was suspended by the management of the institution.
A further search in his hostel room revealed other items which suggest his gay tendencies.
The items reportedly discovered included make-up components and feminine jewelry.
He was then expelled following the discovery.
The authorities however did not report the student to the Police, allegedly at the request of his parents.
Nigeria's Sexual Offences Act stipulates a 14-year sentence for anyone convicted of homosexuality and 10 years in prison for anyone who aids or “abets” same-sex unions.
