2015 AMVCAs nominated movie 'Invasion 1897' will be showcased by British Film Institute on African Odysseys.

Lancelot Imaseun,'Invasion 1897' which recently held it's London premiere on August 16, 2014 has been adopted by the British Film Institute to screen on African Odysseys.

The screening is scheduled to hold on on February 7, 2015 with director of the movie Lancelot Imaseun and members of the cast in attendance.
Invasion 1897 chronicles the vivid accounts of the infamous British Punitive Expedition to Benin, Nigeria that led to killings, destruction, looting thousands of artifacts (Peoples' Records) and deposition of the last King of Africa: Oba Ovonramwen of the Great Benin Empire.
Told for the first time from the victim's perspective. They called it massacre, but it was indeed an invasion.
