Kristaps Porzingis has inked a two-year, $40 million deal with the Golden State Warriors, though only $3 million of the second season (2027-28) is guaranteed. The Latvian star could be traded immediately, as the extension allows for no more than a five percent increase between the first and second years. Porzingis also holds a player option for the second year.

The Warriors are actively pursuing options in the market, reportedly targeting LeBron James as a free agent. Golden State has also been linked to a potential trade for Anthony Davis.

During his 15 games with the Warriors, Porzingis averaged 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 23.7 minutes. His three-point shooting percentage with the 'Dubs' stood at a modest 31.1 percent.

Porzingis is represented by agents Jeff Schwartz and Janis Porzingis.
