Sicong Wang, son of the wealthiest man in China, makes headlines by gifting his pet dog, Coco, with 8 iPhone 7's.

While Nigerians girls plot their way to the latest iPhone which costs a leg and an arm, somewhere in China, a man gifts his pet dog with 8 iPhone 7s.

Sicong, who is the only son of China's richest man, Wang Jianlin, with a fortune estimated at $30 billion by Forbes, has made headlines by spoiling his pet dog, Coco - the Alaskan Malamute, with the expensive phones it will never use.

The pictures which show the iPhone 7's stacked next to the dog who looked decidedly bored, turned up on China's social media, quickly going viral.

An iPhone 7 costs 6,988 yuan in China (£803) and an iPhone 7 Plus costs 7,988 yuan (£918).

Sicong who is a successful businessman and one of China's most eligible bachelors is known to dote on Coco, spoiling the pet he refers to as "The dog princess of the people."
