Shilling firms due to tight liquidity

At 1134 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,382/3,392, slightly up from Thursday's close of 3,385/3,395.

The Ugandan shilling edged up on Friday after the central bank mopped up excess liquidity from the money market triggering a liquidity squeeze.
