House of Rep member-elect dies at 64

A House of Representatives member-elect for Katsina Federal Constituency, Sheikh Umar Abubakar, is dead.

Abubakar diedtoday, Wednesday, June 3 at his Katsina home. He was aged 64.

He was elected on March 28 in the National Assembly election, for a second term, on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).

The late politician has been buried at Dantakum cemetery in accordance with Islamic rites.

The State Deputy Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu, and the APC State Chairman, Alhaji Mustapha Inuwa, have condoled with the family.

They prayed to Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the family fortitude to bear the loss.

The deceased is survived by one wife, five children and three grandchildren.
