Government bans street begging, hawking following government lodge blast

The Kaduna State Government has announced a ban on street begging and hawking in a bid to beef security in the state.

“All beggars and hawkers are to stay off the streets until further notice. Any beggar or hawker found on the streets will be arrested until these measures are relaxed,” Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s media aide, Samuel Aruwan said via a statement.

Aruwan also urged residents of the state to report all suspicious persons and movements to the relevant security agencies.
