However, the legislators were locked out the Assembly premises by a team of soldiers and police officers.

The building was then closed on the orders of the State Commissioner of Police, Taiwo Lakanu in a bid to keep the peace.

The 19 APC lawmakers left the state on November 20, 2014 after the seven Peoples Democratic Party lawmakers impeached the Speaker, Adewale Omirin and his deputy, Tunji Orisalade.

It is believed that the lawmakers were emboldened to return to the State after the APC’s victory in the recently concluded Presidential elections.

However, the lawmakers denied the assumption calling it a mere coincidence.

Meanwhile, APC supporters in Ekiti were recently attacked while celebrating the victory of the party’s candidate, Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential polls.
