The confirmation of Adebajo followed a letter forwarded to it on Dec.1, by Gov. Ibikunle Amosun, urging it to confirm the nominee as a commissioner in the state.

Mr Adeyinka Mafe, the Majority Leader of the House, moved the motion for the confirmation of commissioner-nominee and seconded by Mrs Yetunde Adekunbi-Sogbehin during plenary.

Mr Olakunle Oluomo, the Deputy Speaker, had earlier read the report of the Committee of the whole House on the screening of the commissioner-nominee.

Oluomo said that the committee scrutinised the curriculum vitae and credentials of Adebajo and found her worthy of the appointment into the exalted position of commissioner in the state.
