This Saturday, Garry will challenge Makhachev for the welterweight title in the main event of UFC 330. This marks Makhachev's first defense of the belt in this division, with much discussion surrounding the potential size advantage the Irishman will hold in the bout.

The discussion ignited earlier in the week after the two stood face-to-face, and Garry didn't appear significantly larger than Makhachev. Makhachev himself even commented that he expected the challenger to be taller. Garry, in turn, attributed this to the difference in their footwear, and it seems he was correct. Following Thursday's UFC 330 pre-fight press conference, Makhachev and Garry squared off again, and this time Garry looked visibly bigger than the champion.

True to their demeanor throughout the week, neither Makhachev nor Garry engaged in any misconduct during the confrontation, with Garry even patting Makhachev on the back after they separated.

The co-main event on Saturday will feature Mackenzie Dern, making her first strawweight title defense, against Gillian Robertson. Despite exchanging verbal jabs during the press conference, their face-off remained amicable.
