Hürzeler on Arsenal: What was said is in the past, now it's a new season

Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has stated that last season's comments following the match against Arsenal are firmly in the past and bear no relevance to tomorrow's clash between the two teams. At the time, the German was highly critical of the Gunners, claiming they were deliberately slowing down play, though he later conceded that the London side deservedly won the title. Arsenal visits the Seagulls on Saturday at 5:00 PM Bulgarian time.

“What was said last season stays in the past. It's important to remember that different opinions exist in football, and I will always share mine when asked. Ultimately, I congratulated Arsenal on deservedly becoming champions. Now a new campaign begins, and they've started very impressively; they are perhaps the best team in England right now, so it will be a challenge for us to face them. We will try to focus on our performance and impose our style of play,” Hürzeler explained.

“We need to be aware that Martin Ødegaard is very creative and capable of creating great opportunities, which will be crucial. I hope we can get Pascal Groß into positions where he can influence the game from our side. I am pleased with him so far, both in possession and when defending. It's good that he takes on a leadership role both on and off the pitch. It's a pleasure to watch him at the moment, and I hope he continues this way,” the specialist commented on the opposition.
