Have Fun and Stay Healthy - Coca Cola Begins 2012 'Eva Fun Walk' Campaign

The walk will kick off at National Stadium with warm up exercises, followed by a 10km walk from National Stadium through Costain – Eric Moore, - Bode Thomas – Adeniran Ogunsanya – Alhaji Masha Road – Western Avenue to Ojuelegba – and back to National Stadium. This year’s programme will see 4 city-wide walks supported by numerous community-based walks facilitated by gyms and community partners.

Austin Ufomba, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited stated, “Eva Fun Walk  is a demonstration of our commitment to promote healthy active living in the society. It is often said that health is wealth hence the business decision to continually drive our vision of building sustainable communities by actively supporting and participating life style that promote wellness.”

Otome Oyo, Senior Brand Manager, Still Beverages, Coca-Cola Nigeria conveyed, “ We want Nigerians to see exercise as something that is fun, relieves stress and helps to build relationships with neighbours. Your enjoyment and safety are our number one priority for the Eva Fun Walk. We have engaged the best physical health experts to take all participants through the exercises needed to develop the stamina to execute the walk. We are partnering with the security agencies in the state to ensure security, as well as emergency medical care to assure everyone of a  fun-filled and rewarding event. There is also a reward of an Ipod Shuffle for the first fifty people to register on that day”

The Eva Fun Walk is promoted by Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited’s premium table water, Eva and commenced in 2011. The walk is part of the company’s ‘Live Positively’ initiative and is endorsed by the Lagos State Government.

Registration for the Eva Fun Walk can be done via SMS or the Eva Fun Walk Facebook page at www.facebook.com/evafunwalk. The page will provide regular exercise tips and will inform residents around Lagos about upcoming Eva Fun Walks in their estates or nearby communities. They will also be informed through radio announcements on popular radio stations. Gyms and community partners interested in facilitating a walk in their neighbourhood can register by uploading their profiles, photos etc on the EVA Fun Walk Facebook Page.
