The James Harden saga has concluded: one of the NBA's all-time leading scorers has inked a new deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, securing a hefty $97 million over the next three seasons.

Cleveland had been patiently awaiting LeBron James' decision, and after the legendary player opted for Philadelphia, the Cavaliers wasted no time in presenting Harden with a highly lucrative offer.

Harden's new $97 million contract will push his career earnings past the half-billion dollar mark. He is set to reach $511 million, making him only the fourth player in NBA history to surpass $500 million in earnings. He joins an elite club alongside LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Kevin Durant.

Remarkably, Harden will become only the second player in NBA history, at 37 years old or older, to sign a contract guaranteeing over $90 million. The only other player to achieve this feat was LeBron James.
