Adidas Celebrates Zidane, Beckham and Two Others

In celebration of the achievements of famous sports stars with one of their own very known boot, the 'predator,' German sportswear company, Adidas is out with a new version of the boot won by Johnny Wilkinson when he kicked England to the 2003 Rugby World Cup triumph.

France 1998 and Euro 2000 titles winner Zinedine Zidane called it quits in 2006 after his French team lost to Italy in penalty shootouts, since then he has been majorly in the backroom cooking up something for Real Madrid and possibly the , and that is if he accepts to coach the French national football team.

David Beckham will always remain in history as the most celebrated high profile footballer who never won anything in the game, the closest he got to was a FIFA player nomination.

These two players have two things in common; they both played for Real Madrid and they wore Adidas boots during their football career.

for their popular feat with the boot; a small attempt at creativity by a former Australian Liverpool player Craig Johnston in producing the boot has made it one of the best invention famously accepted in football history.

Craig Johnston designed the ‘predator’ boot back in 1994, then sold it to the German sports company Adidas after the likes of Franz Beckenbauer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Paul Breitner tested and confirmed it.

Adidas has now come out with a new design, which glorifies the old type worn by Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and England’s 2003 Rugby World Cup winning kicker Johnny Wilkinson.

The 20th anniversary celebration of the Predator is complete with a new classic red tongue look will not be available for sale yet. However, new sets will be released to be worn by a host of stars for the coming Barclays Premier League season.

Adidas just acquired the kit partnership rights of Manchester United which starts in the 2015/2016 season
