Griezmann Aims to Conclude Atletico Madrid Career with a Trophy

Atletico Madrid aims to cap off a fantastic week for their fans with a Copa del Rey trophy. Atletico Madrid will face Real Sociedad on Saturday in the final, held at a neutral venue in Seville. Diego Simeone's side eliminated Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals, while city rivals Real Madrid also fell to Bayern Munich. Atletico hopes to conclude this remarkable week with a victory and a Cup triumph.

Should they defeat Sociedad, Atletico would lift their first trophy since the 2021 La Liga title and their first Copa del Rey since 2013. The Cup would provide an additional boost for Atletico before they face Arsenal in the Champions League semi-finals. Antoine Griezmann, Atletico's all-time leading goalscorer, could conclude his illustrious tenure with the club by winning the Copa del Rey before his anticipated move to Orlando City in MLS next season. The French World Cup winner remains a pivotal player for Simeone, thanks to his vision and skill.
