The major development in the Spanish national team's training session, held at Cotton Bowl Stadium, was the return of Nico Williams to full training with the squad. The Athletic Bilbao winger has recovered from physical issues, rejoining his teammates and making the entire roster available for the decisive encounter with the Portuguese national team.

Despite his reintegration, all indications suggest Nico Williams is not yet fit enough to start, though his inclusion in the matchday squad is almost certain, according to Spanish media. In addition to the winger, Víctor Muñoz and Yeremy Pino, who also had physical complaints, are now fit and available for the coach.

The training took place amidst an intense heatwave affecting Dallas and much of Texas. The session garnered significant media attention, with a strong presence of journalists on the eve of what is considered the first major showdown of this World Cup, pitting two title-contending nations against each other.
