A Nigerian team of cyber security professionals tagged “Team Naija” consisting of Adewale Obadare (Digital Encode), Uchenna Akajiuba (FirstBank), David Abolusoro (FirstBank), Bimbo Jaiyeola (Union Bnak), Rotimi Akinyele, and team captain Oluseyi Akindeinde (Digital Encode), will represent the African continent at this year’s Global Cyberlympics event in Washington D.C, USA as number one in Africa.
Global Cyberlympics is a hands on cybersecurity team game that aims to bring together the best ethical hackers from around the world to compete in a series of challenges covering forensics, penetration testing, computer network defense, and capture the flag.
Team Nigeria had previously competed and won the Africa Regional Championship back in 2012, also representing Africa at the finals in Miami where they had a very good outing.
The 6-member Team Naija squad has over 50 certifications between them.
