Barcelona defender attends sports festival in Spain with Shakira

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique attended the 19th Festival of Catalan Sport with his wife where he was named Best Catalan Sportsperson.

The 28-year-old looked semi-formal with a shirt on a jeans which he completed with a suit.

Pop star Shakira wore a simple gown as she watched her man picked up the award.

Over the years, Pique has fully represented the Catalan people and was a key member of the Barcelona squad that won the five trophies in 2015.

“In a career there are good times and bad times. In good, you should not think that you are better than everyone and in the bad, you shouldn't think that you are the worst. As the years go by you realise you have to follow your own path,” he said.

Pique and Colombian chat-topper have been together since 2010.

They met when he appeared in the music video for her single 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The couple has two sons together, Milan Piqué born 22 January 2013 and Sasha Piqué born 29 January 2015.
