The French Football Federation is reportedly considering lodging a protest with FIFA regarding the yellow card issued to forward Michael Olise during their World Cup Round of 16 match against Paraguay.
In the seventh minute of added time, the 24-year-old Olise received a yellow card following a clash with midfielder Matías Galarza.
The French believe the yellow card may have been issued in error. Discussions about a potential protest intensified after FIFA's decision to overturn the suspension of American forward Folarin Balogun ahead of their World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium.
Should Olise receive another yellow card in the next stage, he would be suspended for a potential semi-final match.
France is set to face Morocco in the World Cup quarter-finals on July 9th in Boston.
