Former GLORY middleweight kickboxing champion, Yousri Belgaroui, secured his second UFC victory, defeating Mansour Abdul-Malik via TKO in the third round at the Seattle fight night.
The main card bout pitted Belgaroui against the previously undefeated Abdul-Malik, who boasted a record of three wins and one draw in the Octagon since joining the organization in 2024 after a successful run on Dana White’s Contender Series.
In the opening round, Yousri Belgaroui maintained distance, utilizing his 6'6" (198 cm) reach to land kicks from afar. His opponent appeared hesitant to close the gap and absorbed several heavy low kicks.
The second round saw Yousri Belgaroui land another calf kick, prompting his opponent to clinch and attempt a takedown. The Moroccan fighter displayed impressive takedown defense, staying on his feet and once again creating distance. Midway through the round, Abdul-Malik managed to secure a takedown and take his opponent's back. However, Belgaroui quickly scrambled back to his feet and retaliated with a clean knee to the body, severely hurting Abdul-Malik in the final twenty seconds.
After finding himself in a tough spot again at the start of the third round, Abdul-Malik managed a takedown around the four-minute mark. Belgaroui, however, once again got back to his feet and landed a powerful straight right. This was followed by a devastating knee in the clinch, sending Abdul-Malik face-first to the canvas for the knockout.
