The lovely, longstanding  couple reach 70 years of matrimony this week, and look back on a memorable seven decades of marriage.

Dolly,89 and Stan, 91 regard themselves as "very lucky" and they both believe that the key to a successful marriage is love, trust, and a whole lot of patience.

"In marriage you need love, you need trust and you need a lot of bleeding patience - and for once I agree with him and that doesn't happen very often," says Dolly.

Even the Queen of England was impressed with their long marriage that she sent them a card in celebration of their 70th wedding anniversary.

A gift for which the couple said they were "proud" and "delighted."
