New WBC belt unveiled

A new WBC belt has been unveiled ahead of the Saturday, May 2 fight between Floyd Mayeather and Manny Pacquiao.

The World Boxing Council last week showed off two belts- an 'onyx' version and an 'emerald' version' and asked fans to vote for the version which will be handed to the winner of the historic bout.

At the fans vote which was carried out on the WBC website, it was a tight contest but the 'emerald' version was chosen with 53% of the vote.

The belt is belt is reportedly worth nearly  $1 million.

Ahead of the fight, Manny Pacquiao wasundefined on the request of Floyd Mayweather.
