Everyone is waiting on the the long awaited fight between The undefeated world welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather and Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao including American rapper, 50 Cent.
The rapper and Floyd Mayweather are not in good terms, but 50 Cent is backing his former friend to come out victorious in the bout.
In an interview with 'The Breakfast Club' on Power 105.1’s the rapper said he was confident Mayweather was focused and would win the fight, and that he was planning on betting $1.6 million on Mayweather.
"I got the champ," he told 'The Breakfast Club'. "The champ gonna smoke him. It's gonna look like [the fight] was pumped up for no reason."
The rapper also addressed the very public feud he had with Mayweather, saying the two had talked it out.
“I can get mad at him. We can both get angry when we’re not speaking to each other,” he said. “…When we’re not communicating with each other, it gets crazy.”
50 Cent said he ran into Mayweather at a Chris Brown concert at the Barclays Centre in New York and that he was 'focused'.
50 Cent and Mayweather were business partners until 2012 before they split with the latter forming his own promotional company.
Last year, the pair had a series of online fight when 50 Cent promised to donate $750,000 to charity if Mayweather could read a page of a Harry Potter book.
Mayweather and Pacquiao are preparing for the fight as they have both started their training camps on Monday, in Las Vegas and Los Angeles respectively.
The £160million mega-fight will be happening on Saturday, May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas .
