Flick: The early goal made everything much easier for us

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick expressed his delight with his side's performance following a convincing 3-0 victory over Getafe in Matchday 8 of La Liga. This marked Barca's 43rd win by at least a three-goal margin under the German tactician.

"Breaking the deadlock early was crucial for building our confidence on the pitch. It is always tricky to get going again after an international break, but the team rose to the occasion. Getafe are very well-drilled defensively and rank among the toughest sides to break down. It's never easy to create clear-cut chances against an opponent like that, but we found the spaces while remaining solid at the back. I am extremely pleased with what I saw—our aim is always to control the tempo and dominate the opposition, and we achieved that fully today," Flick commented.

The Blaugrana boss also reserved special praise for the young talents in the squad: "Gerard Martin shows an exceptional mentality. He works tirelessly in every training session and is constantly eager to improve. We are giving him all the support he needs, and his progress has been remarkable, which makes me genuinely happy. This is the exact pathway we want to follow when integrating youngsters from La Masia."

"We have two or three phenomenal options in every position, and the atmosphere in the dressing room is fantastic. What matters most to me is that the team is always placed ahead of any individual or coach," Flick added.
